Setting up a Trading Account

TraderTools Connector achieves automated trading by connecting TradingView alerts with your trading account. This document describes the steps to connect your trading account account with TraderTools Trading Connector.
This guide will be using Binance USDT(M) Futures account for demonstration purpose. You can find a list of supported Trading Platform at the bottom of this guide.
Before adding a trading account, ensure that you have white-listed Tradertools Connector. Read Adding IP Whitelist to your exchange account for more information.

Creating a trading account
Navigate to Trading Accounts page. Find the top menu "Trading Connector" -> "Trading Accounts".

The Trading Account form is divided into 4 sections, as explained below.
(i) Overview

Field | Meaning | Required? |

Name | Name of the trading account. | Yes |
Type | Type of the account. Only FUTURES is supported as of now. | Yes |
Exchange | Supported trading exchanges. See "Supported Exchanges" section for more information. | Yes |
API Key | API Key from the exchange API Management. Read "A. Whitelisting TraderTools Connector" section for more information. | No |
Secret Key | Secret key from the exchange API Management. Read "A. Whitelisting TraderTools Connector" section for more information. | No |
Telegram Chat ID | ID of the Telegram chat that you wish to receive notifications whenever an order is placed. Read here for the steps to retrieve your Telegram Chat ID. | No |

(ii) Futures Settings

Field | Meaning | Required? |

Leverage | Default leverage. If “max” is selected: BTCUSDT = 100x ETHUSDT = 50x Other Altcoins = 25x | Yes |
Enable Hedge Mode? | Whether the exchange account has hedge mode enabled. This setting should match your exchange account settings. | No |
Allow duplicate entry of the same symbol? | Enable this setting if you want to allow opening of multiple trades on the same symbol. Since an indicator could trigger entry signals multiple times in a short interval, we recommend to set this option to "OFF". | No |
Maximum concurrent positions | Maximum number of positions that are OPEN. This option is used to control your risk exposure. Set it to 0 for unlimited. | No |
Maximum entry per day | Maximum number of times that TraderTools Connector can open a position in a single day. This option is used to control your risk exposure. Set it to 0 for unlimited. | No |
Damage Control Settings | Determines the calculation of damage control. Read "How Damage Control Works" at the bottom of this guide for more n | Yes |
(iii) Trading Group Settings

In this section, you can configure your trading account to be tied to a Trading Group. Read Setting up a Trading Group for more information.
